I have had a lot of experience in teddytastic parties so I have asked one of our party leaders to explain in their own words to give you an insight!

"I get a lot of people asking me what an actual party looks like and how we make our money in this business. It's a great question especially if you've done a direct sales business before...because this one is SO different than most party plan businesses.
 
To put it as simply as possible, we are in the "service" business more than in the sales business. We're providing entertainment (and the take home bag) for birthday parties or the activity and entertainment for a nursery "in house" trip or a brownie meeting. Usually a birthday mum, club leader or nursery owner/manager  will contact you from a word of mouth referral or an ad and book you for a specific date.
 
At that point you secure the booking and, if you like, collect full payment or a deposit to order the products for your event. The day of the event you show up (much to the joy and screams of the kids involved), help the kids choose their animal, stuff it, dress it, decorate a take home bag and a birth certificate. We are usually at a home or location for about 45 minutes to an hour and with little or no set up or clean up to do either."
 
Your earnings are made "instantly" in that you've purchased the animals at the "wholesale" cost up front and the  customer (the birthday mum, leader, parents, etc) pay you retail.. the difference is your profit. A small birthday party of 10 children making animals with no outfits or anything else will make you from £30 for that 45-60 minutes of work. A group of 25 is £50+. Don't forget that's just for the minimum order! In my experience there is usually at least 5-10 more people (and profit) It's wonderful and if you work with nurseries, schools, fundraisers, groups etc  you can make much  much  more.“
